And we ensure that businesses are aligned with their Skills Development needs. Benefits of the programme include improved performance outcomes, personal development, innovative thinking and creation of a culture of continuous improvement as identified by our clients within various sectors, including banking and finance……..

HOW SKILLS DEVELOPMENT IMPACTS B-BBEE
Skills Development and Employment Equity are essential if businesses want to comply with statutory and B-BBEE scorecard requirements. Statutory minimum skills requirements for employees in various sectors have been put in place to ensure that workers meet the required level of competence in order to perform their jobs.
If your business is not currently taking steps to develop employee skills and employ a more diverse workforce, you may face significant challenges in meeting statutory and B-BBEE scorecard requirements. By developing an effective Skills Development Strategy, you can ensure that your employees are up-to-date on industry best practices, are able to fulfil the required competencies for the job they hold, and can contribute positively to your business.
DID YOU KNOW?
The revised BEE scorecard allows companies to increase scores by maximizing the amount they spend on Skills Development programmes like SETA accredited training initiatives.
THE IMPORTANCE OF A SKILLS DEVELOPMENT FACILITATOR
Skills Development Facilitators (SDF) take a holistic view of the company so that they can organise and plan all Employee, Business and Training related activities. They also manage existing Workplace Skills Plans (WSPs) and draw up new ones, establish best practices and report on training activity to ensure an efficient workflow.
SKILLS DEVELOPMENT REQUIREMENTS
A prerequisite for recognising any points under Skills Development on your BEE scorecard is the submission of the following:
• Workplace Skills Plan (WSP)
• Pivotal Plan
• Annual Training Report (ATR) prior to the deadline in April each year
Your Business will only receive points on your BEE scorecard once you’ve proven that you have submitted a Workplace Skills Plan. The new amended BEE Codes require a Pivotal Plan to be approved by the SETA before receiving any points on your BEE scorecard.
